Item description
Daimler Double Six/Jaguar Vanden Plas The Daimler Double Six was the top of the line in the Jaguar-Daimler fleet. This model was sold between 1993-1994 having been redesignated the XJ81. It was the 1st model to have the new upgraded 6.0 litre engine The 6.0 litre engine was the pinnacle of Jaguar engines and is now seen as a classic. In the 1990s, the DD6 was the car of choice of the British Prime Minister John Major and his other government ministers. It was fondly dubbed the Lear-Jet of the highway. The car was designed for economical highway cruising in luxury and this is what it does best. This is a VERY special motor car. Just 6 of these "money no object" Daimler 6ltr V12 Saloons were delivered to Australia, each by specially commissioned factory order. Finished externallyin a deep solent blue and internally with magnolia (cream) soft grain autolux hides piped blue and classic woodgrain dash this car is in immaculate condition.Having done less than 200,000km this driver's delight has only just been run in.
